What will you do?

As an experienced Node.js developer at Onsweb, you will immediately start working on challenging projects for our clients. This varies from extensive corporate portals and webapplications with any other third party, for example SAP, Navision, Exact, BizTalk, Snaplogic, Microsoft Dynamics, etc. Our portals are build with Node.js for the back end and Angular for the frontend. As our portals and their userbase grows we strive to build scalable business solutions for our customer and leaning more and more towards the microservice architecture with each new project. To support this all our applications are dockerized and ready to be deployed out of our private registry. The deployment process is managed with Gitlab CI/CD having pipelines building, testing, auditing and deploying images to multiple environments automatically. Our goal is to create a portal platform where we develop commonly used functionality as standardized modules. With this we can focus on improving overall quality and have the time to investigate and build the technically difficult and challenging custom parts each project has. You will work in an Agile team where you will participate in various large global portals and our own SaaS web applications and products.

You help build the back-end based on Node.js in combination with various types of databases and recognize and automate repeating workflows. You develop everything stateless and know exactly how to develop an API. We are therefore looking for someone who already understands his / her profession very well, but also wants to continue to develop and has the ambition to grow. We’re a fan of Scrum, but in our own way, suitable for our clients and projects. You also work in Scrum Teams. You estimate tasks and work independently on user stories. You have the skills to look at applications analytically and critically. You consult with other team members and come up with suggestions or improvements to further improve the quality. You also have the necessary “people skills”. You enjoy working with colleagues and clients. Good communication in English is therefore a must. You also like the necessary interaction and working in a team. At Onsweb we offer you a lot of space to develop yourself and we expect you to do that. With us you can get the best out of yourself!

Gitlab CI/CD, tools & techniques.

We strive to provide our solutions with the best (opensource) tools, plug-ins, modules and links in the base. Our fully automated DTAP enables us to create so-called “Review APPs” for each new feature, hotfix, or release. Review APPs are based on infrastructure-as-code and will spin up a completely standalone environment of the application for testing, QA, auditing, and acceptance. For the we need all our services running on Docker and we use Kubernetes and Helm to facilitate there CI/CD flows automatically.
If you’re familiar with and enthusiastic about the tools below that we use, then we should definitely get acquainted!
